Liddington Bay 2015

What a fab few days had by all in Liddington Bay!

The children have had a great few days doing loads of different activities ... archery, abseiling, canoeing, to name but a few!

The children were so well behaved, a real credit to the school and their parents!

Well done year 6, you were an absolute pleasure to take away and myself and Mrs Jones are extremely proud of all your efforts! Da iawn!

A few photos from the trip ..... apologies if I didn't manage to photograph you due to us all being split up.

Our Debate

This week, the children had to hold a debate as to whether new houses should be built in Llanharry. They organised themselves into groups of: Builders, Residents, Local Businesses, School Children and Environmentalists. Each group had the opportunity to put across their side of the argument and to ask and answer a range of questions. Some were very passionate about the proposal!

Da iawn, Dosbarth 7!

Iceberg Ahead!

This week, we planned and carried out an experiment in Science. We wanted to find out how quickly ice cubes melted in water of different temperatures. We borrowed equipment from Y Pant to help us.
Our results show that the hotter the water, the faster the ice cubes melt.

The children worked in groups, with some children observing and some children timing.
