Well done, year 6 for all your hard work in supporting Sport Relief 2014!!

You helped organise some of the activities and you certainly took the lead when it came to the dancing!!

Bendigedig i chi gyd!!

Bailey's Boxing Match

This is my trophy. I won it at Porthcawl and Pyle in a boxing match, in an exhibition match.
I was up against this eight year old boy but I for got his name.
He boxed for Porthcawl and I boxed for Pencoed.
We both did well.

Da iawn, dosbarth 7!!

Well done, class 7 for working so hard this week in preparation for our Eisteddfod! The singing was 'bendigedig'!!! The art and handwriting competitions were also of an extremely high standard, making it very difficult to judge indeed! Ardderchog i chi gyd!

Very well done to all the children who took part in the recitation heats and earning those points for your teams. The finalists and reserves should also be very proud.

Take a look at the school website for all the photos!!

Olivia, James and Shannon recite ' Y Parc'.

Class 7 sing 'Canu yn y Glaw'.

Farewell Miss Leewarden

It was a sad end to the half term as we had to say goodbye to our student teacher, Miss Leewarden. Miss Leewarden has been working extremely hard with year 6 over the last 7 weeks and she will certainly be missed! We wish her all the best for the future!

Diolch yn fawr, Miss Leewarden!!

Water Music

Class 7 have been extremely busy and very musical this week! To start, we read a range of poems on the theme of 'Water' and discussed the use of poetic language. We then worked in groups to create a musical composition based on an aspect of water, such as the Water Cycle, the Journey of a River, Storm, to name but a few. The results were amazing!
