Book Week Celebrations

We've had a great week this week, doing lots of book related activities. We found out facts from different sources about different authors, we completed a Diamond Nine activity on these authors to see who was our favourite and we also did a mathematical investigation to see if the words were longer in an Infant book or a Junior book! We even read some Welsh books. We topped off the week with a Fancy Dress day and a disco!

ERIC activities

Class 7 have been pairing up with class 3 during ERIC time. They have read stories, from a range of books and also on the iPads! A session certainly enjoyed by all!!!

Year 6 French Lessons

Over the last half term, year 6 have been having French lessons. They have learnt many things with Mrs Smith in such a short time! They have practised counting, learnt colours, the months of the year and much more! 

Tres bien, year 6!!!

Making Bread

On Thursday we had a bread making workshop. We found out about how bread is made and discovered that George Brace started making bread in 1902! Lloyd and Megan were great mini bakers!!! Their loaf was delicious!!
We also discussed the importance of eating a healthy, balanced diet.

Time to Talk - part 2!!!

We've enjoyed another session of mini presentations by year 6! It was lovely to see the artwork by Luke's mum, we found out about Steven Gerrard off Lloyd, learnt about tae kwon do from Joshua and saw some great photos of Tyron's family! Well done, all!!

Time to Talk!!

Well done to Tom, Ross and Cameron who entertained us with their mini presentations today. We found out about a DJ, a local artist and Cameron's dogs called Snoop and Troy. Let's hope that the rest of year 6 will present us with equally interesting talks!

iPad training with year 6

Year 6 are working so hard on the iPads. They have learnt how to save and crop photos and have used a range of apps too. They will soon be creating an ebook!

Visit from PC Louise

Year 6 worked really well today with PC Louise, starting their S.A.F.E project. They listened carefully and contributed well to the discussions. Da Iawn
