Farewell Miss Leewarden
It was a sad end to the half term as we had to say goodbye to our student teacher, Miss Leewarden. Miss Leewarden has been working extremely hard with year 6 over the last 7 weeks and she will certainly be missed! We wish her all the best for the future!
Water Music
Class 7 have been extremely busy and very musical this week! To start, we read a range of poems on the theme of 'Water' and discussed the use of poetic language. We then worked in groups to create a musical composition based on an aspect of water, such as the Water Cycle, the Journey of a River, Storm, to name but a few. The results were amazing!

Beast Creator
They worked cooperatively to design and make a Super Bug that would eliminate a super strength aphid that was threatening to destroy the crops of Wales. The results were very impressive!!

The children carefully decorate their creations.
Class 7 used a range of tools, materials and techniques to make their Super Bugs.
We were so pleased with the results.
This Super Bug was called Laser!
This one was called Fern.
This scary creature was called 'Covanum'!
This Tail Stinger would certainly pose a threat to the aphids!!
The bright red 'Virus Tomato' was a great creation.
Could this Poisonous Flyer defeat the deadly aphids?
Trip to Cilfynydd
Class 7 enjoyed an interesting trip to Cilfynydd Education Centre. They completed a river study, did pond dipping and found out about water efficiency. Since the trip, the children have found out more information about rivers and about the Water Cycle.
