Happy Birthday Mr Francis!

On Friday 25th November, we had a BIG party for Mr Francis' 80th birthday!!

Mr Francis had visited our class to talk about life in World War II in Llanharry. We then did some research on the 1930s and 1940s.

We learnt some poems from the book Llanharry with a Y to recite to Mr Francis. We recited The Iron Ore Men, The Colliers and Morgan's Pond.

He really enjoyed his party!

Swansea Bay 1940s Experience

On Monday 21st November class 6 and class 7 went to the Swansea Bay 1940s Experience. They learnt many facts about daily life at that time. They dressed up in a range of clothes from the era, they visited a street scene and completed a quiz.

A great time was had by all!

Motorway Survey Sept 2016

On Friday, class 7 carried out a survey of the traffic on the M4. It was very busy! We made a tally of the different vehicles and were surprised just how many cars went passed. We will use this data to talk about the impact on the environment. The drivers and passengers made it special by beeping and waving at us.
